This concert happened right before or after the first time I ever saw the Dots, and it was a mellow, focused moment in their Purple Sage period... barefoot Kaspel, Silverman without glasses on, and Ryan Moore in some kind of Hawaiian shirt. Niels wore a pin reading "MY MOTHER THINKS I'M AT THE MOVIES" and his sonorous horn at times did blare... this was the closest to some kind of slumber party I've had with the band.
