Originally released in a hand-numbered edition of 75 on the french label Ruralfaune (spray-painted CDr, card insert and wallpaper 'cover' in an out-sized plastic wallet tied with string) and recorded at home in May 2006, "The Three Faces Of Moongod" is a record full of dark and bleak moods. The opening and closing track might be very close to some subtle and slo-motion landscapes drawn by Andrew Chalk ("Eclipse", "Sleep") and the central 26-minute "Invocation" seems to evoke the percussive spirit of Z'ev or the ancestral bagpipes of Master Musicians Of Joujouka. "It is meant as an ideal soundtrack to a nighttime panistic ritual" and it surely is a unique departure from every other Valerio's work. Comes fully remastered from the original masters.

Valerio Cosi Italy

"Free jazz mixed with psych-rock and electronic music, and all kinds of awesome" (Pitchfork)

"Cosi is a master at bending tones and meshing multiple instruments and styles into a cohesive unit. Layers of guitars, horns, percussion and more create everything from whimsical pop to sprawling, esoteric drone" (FoxyDigitalis)
